    The Greenbrier Company is hiring a Machine Operator Lvl C to work in their Tacoma, WA location. Greenbrier does the hard work that matters where cutting-edge industrial technology meets grit, integrity, and passion.

    As the Machine Operator, Lvl C, you are responsible for operating machines within the machine shop to produce parts to dimensional tolerances called out on CAD drawings. You will need to know how to select feeds and speeds based on alloy type to obtain the best cutting conditions which produce the longest tool life.

    Duties And Responsibilities:

    • Use shop machines to produce production parts to print requirements.
    • Use calipers, micrometers, or other types of measurement devices to check part dimensions.
    • Read print drawings and check part dimensions against print tolerances.
    • Use shop machines to produce tooling, fixtures, or other parts as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Understand basic machine operation.
    • Able to read print drawings.
    • Attention to detail in all work aspects.
    • Able to use a caliper, micrometer, and tape measure.
    • Know how to determine speed and feed rates.
    • Required ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills

    Driver’s Edge Driver Training is recruiting a Driver Training Instructor in Gig Harbor and Bainbridge Island.

    COMPANY SUMMARY:

    Driver’s Edge Driver Training teaches students to manage risks of the road by developing behaviors and attitudes that range from managing the space around them in traffic. 

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Primary responsibilities include both in classroom instruction and behind the wheel training of teenage students. The instructor must have the skill to utilize a PowerPoint presentation and follows a prescribed lesson plan. They must also have the technical ability to teach this simultaneously to students online. The instructor is responsible for the safety of the student and the safe operation of the vehicle. The instructor must evaluate individual skills and progress; monitor and record each session for each student in a timely, accurate manner.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must pass criminal background check.
    • Must have Driver Training Instructor License. Potential training for the right candidate.
    • Must be over 21 and be a Licensed driver for five years or more per licensing requirements.
    • Fewer than two tickets in rolling two-year period.
    • Must provide five-year driving abstract.
    • Positions available on Bainbridge Island and Gig Harbor.
    • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

    SALARY & BENEFITS:

    • Starting at $16 to $20 per hour, depending on qualifications

    Prior experience not necessary, training is available.

    For the right person, this should be 4-5 days a week, if you are willing to learn. Working Fridays, Saturdays, and other days as needed each week.
