    Goodwill’s Intro to Industry – Warehouse Program

    Sent on behalf of Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region.

    Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region is offering a new virtual 6 week long (Mon-Thu 1-4pm) vocational program called Intro to Industry. The program will be focused on the warehouse industry, where you can get certified in OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR, develop leadership skills, and learn about the industry.

    We are bringing in warehouse businesses from the community to help inform participants about gaining employment! The average starting wages for warehouse jobs is $18-$22 with over 300+ job openings across Pierce County.

    The program is available to anyone living in Washington state.

  • WorkSource Pierce Welcomes a new Administrator!

    WorkSource Pierce Welcomes a new Administrator!

    WorkSource Pierce is pleased to announce that Manny Aybar will begin work as our new WS Pierce Interim Administrator on July 1st.

    Manny brings strong skills and enthusiasm to the team. A longtime mental health and human services provider, Manny has spent the majority of his career working in meeting the needs of his neighbors experiencing housing insecurity, unemployment, crisis or trauma in our communities.

    Manny has held executive and management positions with both city and the county of San Bernardino, the city of Riverside, the California Association of Public Authorities and Inland Behavioral and Health Services. Manny has also led programs at California State University, San Bernardino, the University of Redlands and Mt. San Jacinto College. Prior to coming to ESD Manny was Executive Director of Our Resilient Community Alliance, a social services and transitional housing agency in Clallam County.

    We are excited for our new addition and welcome Manny to the WorkSource Pierce team!
