    This is an H-2A job order for Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The person in this position will drive long distances daily to deliver produce and pick up supplies, will perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, will fuel the vehicles before or after trips to insure they are full on departure and keep a fuel log.

    All Truck Drivers hauling agricultural products from field to plant locations are required to have a current CDL operators license along with required endorsements. Round trips range from 10 miles to 200 miles.

    Truck Drivers will also deliver and unload produce to customers and must know and follow each customer’s unique set of rules. They will pick up supplies from vendors and must know and follow each vendor’s unique set of rules.

    In the fields, Truck Drivers will:

    1. Transport produce from fields to packing shed.
    2. Transport produce between store and packing shed.
    3. Load and unload field trucks.
    4. Load customer orders at the packing shed.

    Truck Drivers will drive a tractor trailer and back up to loading docks. They will load vehicles in the reverse order of the deliveries, so the first delivery can be unloaded first. They will also unload supplies and produce at the specified location.

    Truck Drivers may also transport employees to store, bank, airport, houses, fields, doctor, hospital, and any other place considered necessary by the employer.

    Equipment Operator Specific Duties:

    • Drives tractor.
    • Operates forklift and pallet jack at loading docks.
    • Stacks produce boxes on pallets and shrink wraps the pallets when necessary.
    • Spreads ice on top of pallets when necessary.
    • Operates forklift and pallet jack.

    Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from 30 to over 90 degrees F. The person in this position may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    * Willing to commit to the entire contract period

    * 3 months of experience in harvesting of row crop vegetables

    * Able to pass mandatory drug screening

    * Able to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day

    HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE

    Contract period: September 13th, 2021 through November 26th, 2021

    8 hours per day Monday through Saturday.

    SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS

    $19.00 per hour.

    The payroll period shall be bi-weekly.

    The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work.

    Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to their place of residence the same day.

    Employer does not provide meals. Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. In the event that kitchen facilities become unavailable during the contract period, employer will provide three daily meals in accordance with 20 CFR 655.122(g). In such circumstances, employer will deduct the cost of such meals up to the maximum allowable amount published in the Federal Register (currently $13.17 per day), or as otherwise approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.

    Transportation costs to the job site for domestic workers from outside the local commuting distance of the job site will be reimbursed by the employer after 50% of the contract period.  Transportation costs from the job site to workers’ home will be provided to those domestic workers that complete the entire contract period.

    Employer guarantees to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 or 75% of the workdays of the work contract beginning with the first day of work.

    Our technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar, Allied and Genie or aerial equipment including removing, repairing, assembling and installing. Able to diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems, experience with CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment is essential.

    Due to the multiple projects you will be assigned, this position requires planning and organizing skills with a particular emphasis on controlling job costs. You will need to investigate, analyze and identify the problem in order to make recommendations that eliminates the issue.

    Our technicians work with a variety of people, therefore a communication style that includes strong interpersonal skills and effective writing is necessary for utilizing internal software and other software programs and accurately completing work/service orders.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • A high school degree (or equivalent) plus a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience preferred.
    • A valid driver’s license required. Potential forklift driving and operation equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, in some locations.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
    • This role requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
    • Flexibility to work in either the shop or field to assist our customers will be required.

    Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal

    • Complies with local, state, and federal codes and standards by directing and monitoring the work of vendors, contractors, and staff; inspecting the HVAC systems and equipment.
    • Implements changes, expansions, and additions to HVAC systems by identifying problems; keeping abreast of new developments; using statistics and equipment history reports.
    • Maintains HVAC maintenance staff by training, mentoring, and guiding employees.
    • Maintains HVAC maintenance staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Proof of all current relevant Required Certifications (EPA Certification)
    • Current WA Driver’s License and clean driving record

    • Manages shift equipment and materials (including keeping shop organized & clean);
    • Transfers and finishes concrete slabs;
    • Takes delivery of materials and cargo from suppliers, making sure paperwork is correct and quantities are checked;
    • Mixes, transfers, and extends materials such as concrete and asphalt;
    • Helps in drilling and coring
    • Planes earth using rakes and shovels;
    • Removes debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows; and
    • Cleans-up work sites;
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    The Necessities

    • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving history
    • Ability to drive a manual transmission truck and be able to pull a trailer (including reverse).
