    We have two CDL Career Boosts coming up!

    Our Young Adult CDL Career Boost is on Tuesday, January 30 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM! This session is aimed at individuals age 16-24 and is a hybrid event – you can attend either online or in person at WorkSource Pierce.

    Our Adult CDL Career Boost is on Wednesday, January 31 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. This event is In-Person at Commercial Truck School at 11000 34th Ave. S, Lakewood, WA 98499.

    Come learn about training and employment opportunities in Pierce County and the surrounding areas. These two sessions will include important information that will help you decide if it is the right industry for you.

    Yellow Freight Hiring Event – July 13

    At Yellow Freight, everything they do revolves around a simple product: moving freight from point A to point B, on time and in one piece. As the original LTL carrier, they have almost 100 years of experience consistently delivering for their customers while placing the highest value on the success of their 20,000+ employees.

    They are currently looking for full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers ($24.22/hr) to pick up and deliver freight within a defined local territory, develop and maintain great customer relationships, and load/unload freight from trailers. In addition to Class A CDL, Yellow Freight is looking for full-time Dock Workers ($19.47/hr) to load and unload trailers at their terminal location.

Yellow is determined to exemplify the highest standards of service to both their employees and customers.

    Yellow is specifically looking for CDL drivers in Pierce County, whether you currently have the certificate or participate in their paid training program to get the certificate.

    Requirements:

    • CDL or ability to get CDL
    • Push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds frequently, greater than 100 pounds occasionally
    • Stretch, turn, bend, kneel, and reach overhead for extensive periods of time
    • Exposed to the elements, hot and cold

    Benefits:

    • 100% Paid Family Medical/Dental/Vision

    • Weekly Pay

    Salary:

    • $70,000 annually with CDL
