The successful applicant will have a starting salary of $259,440.
Rainier RHC is a state residential facility near Enumclaw, Washington, where adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities live and receive training to prepare for community placement.

Board Certification is preferred. Active Washington state licensure is needed. Most of our staff commute to Buckley. We work hard and help one another with shared calls for true time off. Four—and five-day schedules are available.
Weekday hours are four 10-hour days with shared phone / call duties at night; a 5-day per week schedule is also possible. Calls are from our registered nurses regarding familiar patients, but there is no required hands-on presence on grounds after hours. Experience or training with general, geriatric, and psychiatric medical care is preferred, but with our support team—including professional staff—it is easy to develop the additional skills and familiarity required. We offer one of the few supportive working environments without production restraints in Western Washington.
Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
Your role within the RHC:
- Attends to clients in the Rainier School Clinic per schedule and as needed.
- Shares on-call duties during the day and call duties after hours.
- Responds to medical emergencies on grounds with the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Communicates with consultants and community providers to ensure continuity of care and proper medical management.
- Responds to diagnostic testing.
- Completes a comprehensive Annual Healthcare Assessment for each assigned client in conjunction with their Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP) meeting.
- Communicates medical information to an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and ensures the guardian/family has current medical information.
- Performs medication reviews with an IDT on a scheduled basis for each client within a living unit.
What we are looking for:
- A valid license to practice medicine and surgery in the State of Washington
- Completion of an approved residency program in the designated specialty area (Neurology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pathology, OB/GYN, or Physiatrist.)
- Eligibility for American Board certification is required.

- $5,000 annual allowance for CME courses
