WorkForce Central and WorkSource are working with our community partners to lift 250 families in the 98404 zip code out of poverty.

Working together, residents will be connected to all of the services they need to reduce debt, grow credit and build skills to be successful at work. These include:

The steps are easy! You can find Enrollment Specialists at the Family Investment Center and the Pierce South Community Services DSHS Office. A mobile Specialist will also be going between our EcSA community partners and these two locations.

You’ll get started by meeting with an Enrollment Specialist. With your help they will determine what services you’re eligible for. See the above text to learn where you can connect with one.

The screening process is used to determine whether or not you are eligible* for EcSA: Power Up 98404. Once you have been qualified, you will be connected with a Career Adviser to help you navigate through EcSA services.

*Those who are not eligible for EcSA will still be connected with another program through the Common Referral System.

After screening, you’ll make an enrollment appointment, where you will be connected to a Career Adviser to help you enroll in the program. They will let you know what documents you need to provide, as well as help you to complete the enrollment documents.

Once you’ve been enrolled, your Career Adviser will connect you with our program partners for training, mentoring, and any other services you may need.
