Open the door to a high-paying industry
RAIN Incubator and Waterversity, in partnership with WorkSource Pierce, offers a career technical education program that will teach essential skills and will place graduates on the path to be recognized as Operators in Training in the Water Resource and Recovery Industry.
An estimated 1 in 5 of the field’s current workforce is heading into retirement, creating a projected shortage of essential workers. These high-paying job opportunities will be available to graduates of the Waterversity Program.
- 30 hours of instructional workshops
- Classes will be held twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm at RAIN Incubator
- Achieve the Association of Boards of Certification benchmark for competency in 28 States upon completion of the course

Fundamentals of Biological Treatment
- Primary treatment of wastewater and equipment
- Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating process control samples
Activated Sludge
- Secondary treatment of wastewater and equipment
- Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating process control samples
Nutrient Removal
- Biological treatment of commercial wastewater
- Biological treatment of residential wastewater
