Video Editor Intern

Whether it’s a TikTok campaign or a full-scale commercial, Kiln blends craft with creativity to tell stories that connect. As an intern, you’ll be collaborating, creating, and contributing to projects that make a difference.

Internship Position Overview
This internship offers real-world experience editing digital media for branded content, social media, and commercial storytelling. You’ll work alongside our editors and producers to craft high-impact video content while learning the tools and techniques used across the industry.

Intern Opportunity Details

  • Wage: $16.66 – $20.00/hour
  • Hours Per Week: Up to 30
  • Internship Length: 120 – 320 hours
  • Location: Pierce County
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 18

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for web, social, and commercial use
  • Apply audio mixing, color correction, and motion graphics
  • Collaborate with creative team members to align edits with project vision
  • Experiment with AI-assisted video generation tools
  • Practice storytelling with intention—understanding emotional impact and pacing

Skills the Intern May Learn

  • Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve workflows
  • Professional editing best practices
  • Marketing-driven visual storytelling
  • Real-time collaboration in creative environments
  • Intention-setting in every phase of the edit

Tools/Equipment/Supplies Required

  • Business casual attire
  • Laptop/workstation capable of video editing (provided if needed – on site)
  • Headphones and access to Adobe Creative Cloud (provided if needed)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic familiarity with Premiere Pro or other editing tools
  • Attention to detail and strong creative instincts
  • Interest in media production, marketing, or film

  • Reliable attendance and commitment to deadlines
