About Us
Caring with Compassion Community (“CwCC”) offers safe support and a fellowship of peers to Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), as well as underserved individuals who have experienced trauma, and/or have emotional, mental, or physical disabilities. Leveraging our collective lived experience, we provide those who find it most difficult to function in our society with a voice and personalized support when they’re needed most, lifting all boats. With a focus on physical safety and mental health, our people and services support everyone’s potential, recognizing and building on their strengths, and “walking the walk” of our shared purpose.
Position Details
- Title: Peer Navigator Advocate Intern
- Age Requirement: 16+
- Hourly Wage: $16.28–$20.00
- Estimated Hours/Week: 40
Responsibilities
- Support peer advocates in mental health and substance abuse services, symptom management, and recovery processes.
- Assist in creating service plans and providing education and support to families.
- Research and update community resources for accuracy.
- Help peer advocates in facilitating referrals and maintaining service consistency.
Requirements
- High school diploma (preferred but not required).
- Reliable transportation (preferred).
- Satisfactory background check results.
- Proof of valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Peer Counseling training within 6 months to 1 year.
