Operations Assistant

Our dedicated staff and volunteers now deliver hundreds of interactive environmental education programs to over 30,000 residents and visitors of Pierce and Kitsap Counties each year. Intern Title: Operations Assistant
• Wage: Local Minimum Wage to $22/hr
• Location: Gig Harbor, WA 98335
• Length: 160 to 320 hours total and up to 30 Hours Per Week

SKILLS YOU MAY LEARN
As a Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our Marine Life Center. The ideal candidate is a Salish Sea loving people-person who is good with technology and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
• Comprehensive understanding of marine conservation and environmental education.
• Skills in public engagement and visitor services in an educational setting.
• Experience in animal care and exhibit maintenance.
• Proficiency in creating and managing communications across various platforms.
• Effective volunteer management and administrative organization.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
