About Re-Establishing Hope:
Re-Establishing Hope provides Permanent Supportive Housing for individuals with disabilities and/or substance use disorder (SUD) through the Housing First approach. Our mission is to assist participants in establishing housing goals and guide them through creating actionable plans to achieve those goals. We offer housing location services tailored to participant preferences and continue setting long-term goals post-housing to help participants maintain their housing and transition to their “Forever Home.”

Position Title: Employment Specialist Intern
Minimum Age Requirement: 18
Compensation: $16.28 – $25.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Internship Overview:
As an Employment Specialist Intern, you will be instrumental in helping participants overcome barriers to employment while learning how to advocate for individuals with disabilities or SUD. You will gain experience in creating Employment Plans, developing job search strategies, and providing ongoing job retention support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants in creating Employment Plans aligned with their skills and aspirations.
  • Provide coaching to support job retention and overcome workplace obstacles.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate career preparation, including resume writing and interview coaching.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of participant progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for helping individuals with disabilities and SUD achieve employment goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Interest in workforce development and community advocacy.
