Take note that FedEx is especially in need of Driver Apprentice’s. This is a program that allows individuals who are interested in receiving the full CDL A credentials while working fulltime for FedEx Freight. FedEx will pay for the CDL A license and candidates will be employed full time for FedEx while attending school.

WHEN: Thursday, October 8th *Please Only Attend One Session*
Session One: 10:00 a.m.
Session Two: 1:00 p.m.

JOB DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Freight Handler
1. Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack and hand truck
2. Verify documentation matches freight description (e.g. type, weight, hazardous materials), using current electronic or manual system
3. Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)

Driver Apprentice
1. Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack and hand truck
2. Perform pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment
3. Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer

CDL Driver (Must possess CDL A)
1. Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles (and triples, where applicable) and/or straight trucks
2. Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment
3. Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer
