Based in Tacoma, WA, this agency helps people start or return to the workforce by giving them quality temp-to-hire opportunities with great employers.

    They are hiring for an Export Agent at SeaTac who will primarily contact vessels and track their progress towards destinations. The position will train on some of the necessary programs, but it is expected that the job candidate has the background and skills needed for vessel transport.

    Wage and Benefits

    • $90,000 annually, depending on experience

    Employee Duties & Responsibilities

    • Coordinates activities of international traffic division of import-export agency and negotiates settlements between foreign domestic shippers.
    • Supervises workers engaged in receiving shipping freight, documentation, waybilling, assessing charges and collecting fees for shipments.
    • Negotiates with domestic customers, as intermediary for foreign customers, to resolve problems and arrive at mutual agreements.
    • May examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff customs regulations.
    • May contact customs officials to affect release of incoming freight resolve customs delays.
    • May prepare reports of transactions to facilitate billing of shippers’ foreign carriers.

    Additional Job Responsibilities

    • Create shipping instructions for export shipments
    • Create or request all documents required for product to be in conformance with country of destination, which includes Bills of Lading, Import Permits &, Certificates of Origin
    • Send documentation to customer for approval
    • Ensure customer compliance across many platforms (local government, foreign government, banking, USDA regulations)
    • Monitors customer profitability and escalates pro-actively to product and sales management to ensure that quoted services and pricing are adjusted to achieve profitability
    • Processes customer booking requests in accordance with customer level service agreements and established routing guides to maximize profitability
    • Processes shipments in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirement
    • Software/computer knowledge (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

    The Department of Corrections (DOC) was established to ensure public safety. Washington Corrections Center (WCC) is the Reception and Diagnostic Center, a close-custody facility with the primary responsibility to process, test, and classify all adult offenders sentenced to prison in Washington State.

    We are hiring for Correctional Officer 1:

    This job class is designated as in-training. The employee will advance to CO2 after satisfactory completion of the CO1 training requirements.

    In an adult correctional facility, Correctional Officers provide safety and security, and assist in controlling, directing, and monitoring the activities and movement of incarcerated individuals. This includes maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement into, out of and within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures.

    Overtime is an essential function of this position.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • One year of work experience
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Legal (Constitutional) right to carry a firearm is required

    Phoenix Processor LP is hiring seafood processors. Join our team for the Summer B season (pollock).

    If you have a strong work ethic and think you have what it takes to work on a vessel in a fast-paced environment, please apply. You will fly to Seattle, WA and join the vessel in Dutch Harbor, AK to begin an exciting career working aboard the M/V Excellence or M/V Phoenix.

    Contract for the B Season pollock fishery begins when you join the ship and lasts through the end of the season, which could be up to 60 days.

    Requirements:

    • Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, repetitively
    • Work 12-16 hour shifts, 7 days a week in a fast paced environment with repetitive tasks
    • Expected to work in a cold, wet environment
    • Able to speak and read English
    • Follow all safety and quality policies and regulations
    • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and follow quarantine protocols prior to joining the vessel
    • Work and live aboard a vessel for 30-110 days with minimal communications (there is Wi-Fi access available)
    • Must be capable of boarding and exiting the vessel without assistance by climbing up or down a gangway or by using a Jacob’s ladder
    • Pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in US Coast Guard random drug testing program

    Qualifications

    • Making a living at-sea requires a special kind of person. This is a physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding workplace. The job requires physical endurance, repetitive lifting, agility, prolonged periods of standing, teamwork, and self-discipline. You must be able to follow directions and work as a team.

    Wages and Benefits:

    • $3,500 – $5,000 per month with overtime and potential incentive and performance bonuses
    • Housing and meals provided
    • After one year of employment you are eligible for enrollment in health insurance and 401k plans.
