    WorkSource Pierce is partnering with Washington Service Corps to recruit a Digital Literacy Navigator for their Tacoma office.

    About WorkSource Pierce

    WorkSource Pierce is a partnership of state, local, and nonprofit agencies to deliver a wide array of employment and training services for both job seekers and employers.

    This position will help to achieve our unified goal of connecting people with training programs and jobs to help them succeed at any stage in life, by providing assistance, via 1:1 assistance and/or group activities, aimed at improving the digital literacy of our job seekers and making them more marketable.

    About the Position

    This position is funded by Washington Service Corps as an AmericCorps volunteer and includes a subsidy of $2,890.48 per month. On top of that, as an FYI (TABF, BFET and Section 8) recipients do not lose any of their benefits.

AmeriCorps members at the American Red Cross serve under-resourced communities by engaging volunteers to provide preparedness education and respond to local and national disasters.     Am I Eligible?

    • No experience? No Problem!
    • Must be 18-25 years old, exceptions for those with military service or with mental or sensory disabilities*
    • Successful applicants will undergo criminal history checks
    • Strong preference will be given to Washington State residents

    *Age restrictions are based on legislative mandate, limited exceptions may be made for Gulf War era II veterans, active duty reservists, and active duty dependents. In addition, leadership (non-member) positions, and participants with a sensory or mental disability are not subject to this age restriction.

    Wages & Benefits:

    • Earn a semi-monthly living allowance of $1,100 and receive an AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,195 (scholarship) upon successful completion of 11-month term & 1700 hours.
