    The county has dozens of full-time, part-time and seasonal opportunities available right now. Some departments are hiring immediately, so bring your resume and mindset for a potential on-the-spot interview.

    Representatives from many departments will be on hand including Assessor Treasurers office, Parks and Recreation, Clerk of Superior Court, Sheriff’s Department and Planning and Public Works.

    Job Description:

    This position is responsible for instruction, supervising, and evaluating nursing assistant students in the educational environment within the framework of the program’s four Program Learning Outcomes:

    • PLO 1: Utilize cultural humility when interacting with patients, individuals, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. (ICD)
    • PLO2: Provide patient-centered nursing assistant care for diverse groups in the community in a manner that is legal, ethical, safe, and demonstrates caring. (RES)

    PART TIME/FLEXIBLE – Radio Station Sales Support (No Selling)

    Work behind-the-scenes at Olympia’s KXXO Mixx 96.1! We need an organized person with strong writing and customer-service skills to manage paperwork, verify customer information, enter information, and write ad copy as needed. Though most of the work will be done during the standard workday, hours are flexible and could be scheduled around school and home responsibilities.

    There is no selling or upselling required in this position. You will largely be gathering, verifying, and organizing information and, if skilled, helping come up with creative ideas and writing copy for radio ads.

    Duties of this job include:

    • Managing client paperwork
    • Entering and checking client information and advertising orders
    • Contacting clients and updating copy and other information
    • Helping to write client copy for radio advertising as needed

    Requirements for this position include:

    • Good computer skills
    • Ability to keep track of information and keep it organized
    • Willingness to work with people of differing backgrounds and lifestyles

    Some of what you’ll be doing includes:

    • Monitor and control access to museum premises
    • Patrol museum grounds
    • Provide written daily security reports detailing observed discrepancies/incidents
    • Observe and report safety and security matters

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • One (1) year prior experience in security

    Note: CPR/First Aid and AED certification is required within 6 months of employment.
     
    PREFERRED:

    • Is able to do sustained physical work including working form a step ladder
    • Able to lift, move, transfer 50 lbs.
