The Navigating Barriers to Employment After Incarceration workshop series is designed to support individuals impacted by the justice system in overcoming systemic, social, and personal barriers to employment.

This four-part series offers practical tools, legal expertise, and confidence-building strategies to help you re-enter the workforce with dignity and purpose.

  • Resume and cover letter strategies tailored to fair chance hiring
  • Building competitiveness in the labor market

How to Interview Post Incarceration

Mock Interviews (Capstone)

Pierce County District Court Resource Center (CRC) Job Fairs

Held throughout the year

The Pierce County District Court Resource Center hosts free job fairs designed for people with justice involvement or other barriers to employment.

Each event brings a changing mix of employers and support services, giving you the chance to meet hiring reps, explore job paths, and access re-entry resources all in one place.

Avenues to Opportunities

Held in June

Avenues to Opportunities is an annual resource fair where justice-impacted workers can meet supportive service providers and employers in one welcoming space.

Each year brings a mix of job opportunities and barrier-removal resources like training, housing, and re-entry support—all designed to help you take your next step forward.

Beyond Boundaries

Held in August

The Beyond Boundaries Resource Fair held in August offers supportive services to remove barriers that justice-impacted and/or homeless people face in our community.
